Basic Blood Tests
The most important thing you can do to prevent life-threatening diseases is to get annual blood testing. A simple blood test can show you what’s going on inside of you and will tell you if you are at risk for certain diseases such as diabetes or heart disease.
When you go for a physical, your doctor may not always order you a blood test. With Personalabs, you do not have to wait for your doctor to order the blood tests you need- you are able to order them yourself at an affordable price!
Not sure where to start? Our Basic Blood Tests Category holds some of the most important blood tests that will provide you with an overall status of your health.
The Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP) measures your glucose level, electrolyte and fluid balance, and kidney function. It includes the following 14 tests: Alanine aminotransferase (ALT/SGPT); Albumin: Globulin (A:G) ratio; Albumin; Alkaline phosphatase; Aspartate aminotransferase (AST/SGOT); Bilirubin; total; BUN; Creatinine ratio; Calcium; Carbon dioxide, total; Chloride; Creatinine; eGFR calculation; Globulin, total; Glucose; Potassium; Protein; and Sodium.
A Complete Blood Count (CBC) measures the levels of red and white blood cells and platelets in your body. It screens for symptoms such as fatigue or bruising, diagnose disorders such as anemia and infection, and can monitor a variation of diseases that affect blood cells.
The Liver Function Test measures the levels of specific enzymes and proteins in the blood and how well the liver is performing its normal functions. It screens for liver damage and can help diagnose and monitor liver disease.
These are just a few of the tests we offer so you can assess your overall health status and detect any possible issues that may lead to the progression of serious health conditions or diseases. Find out the information you need to know today!
